Cindy Maril, President of Horse & Rider Treats, with Floyd, CETR, (Chief Executive Treat Researcher) . Cindy was inspired by Floyd, her Oldenburg gelding, to develop Horse & Rider Treats. Cindy and her husband Steve were putting long hours into developing their baked goods for health food stores when the idea came to her - make healthy treats that humans can share with their animals!
Sammy, "The Labrador with One Lung." It's hard to believe that this fellow has only one lung when you watch him obsessively chase after apples, or how he bounces to greet his people. With that kind of positive attitude, he couldn't help but win the title of CMO (Chief Morale Officer). Yes, he is the namesake of the 'Treats for Sammy & Me."
Roxy (the young grey mare) and Grady (the 'Stamiture' Poodle*) are Research Fellowes with Horse & Rider Treats/Treats for Sammy and Me. As Research Fellowes, they are responsible for quality control and product development by making sure the treats are 'OK!' They inspire Polly McGann to work on this website and sing the praises of these treats to anyone who will listen. Roxy was so motivated to eat the treats that she started to learn to count after having only three treats. As a representative of one of the 'smartest dog breeds,' the poodle, Grady says 'these are the best treats, bar none!" *Polly coined the term 'Stamiture' for a cross between a Standard and Miniature Poodle.
